Happy Monday! This is Monica posting this time so it won't be nearly as profound as Jim's posts usually are.
I was just sitting here thinking how fast time has flown this summer! It's almost August already and that means the countdown to the First Day of School has started.
We've had a fun and interesting weekend. First, our water heater went out. I almost fainted when the plumber quoted us $2000 to replace it! However, Jim, Mike and Johnny saved the day and installed the water heater on Friday night. Thank you, thank you, thank you! We saved almost $1500 by doing it ourselves.
We had a fun day on Saturday just hanging out together with Mike, Christy, Aaron, Layton, Hildi, Johnny, and Sami. Then, we went up to Hildi & Johnny's house on Sunday for some water slide fun and a game of Couplez. Jim and I were beat out by the two younger couples! Unbelievable, I know.
We're leaving this weekend for Arkansas so you'll all want to check back next week for an update on our fun adventures there.
